The .online extension launched by Radix has reached a milestone in the gTLD launches.
.Online received 28,000 registrations within the first 30 minutes. Today this number sits at 50,000.
While .club and .nyc took 13 and 24 days respectively, it took .online just 7 days to reach the 50,000 mark.
Thanks to 1&1‘s efforts, one-third of that 50,000 comes from people in Germany.
I am a little surprised due to there being a .onl, but I can only assume that the way people verbally say the domain names will have a big impact on sales for a specific gTLD. For example: Buy.Online vs Buy.Onl
